AFC Favorites to Win Super Bowl LX

This year presents some familiar faces atop the AFC for Super Bowl odds. Each of the top three teams has been to at least the divisional round in the last two seasons. The AFC has won six of the previous ten Super Bowls but trails the NFC by one in the all-time series at 30-29.

Here are the AFC Favorites for Super Bowl 60.

Buffalo Bills (+700)

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills lead the AFC in this year's Super Bowl odds at +700. The Bills have made the playoffs every year since 2019, but are still searching for their first Super Bowl appearance since 1993. They fell one game short last season, losing to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

Baltimore Ravens (+700)

The Baltimore Ravens share the same odds as the Buffalo Bills to win Super Bowl 60 at most sportsbooks. Lamar Jackson's MVP-level performance year after year hasn't led him to a Super Bowl appearance yet, but he is hoping to change that with Baltimore's talented roster.

Kansas City Chiefs (+750)

The Kansas City Chiefs are the third favorite in the AFC to win Super Bowl 60 at +750 odds. Kansas City lost the Super Bowl last season to the Philadelphia Eagles. But with quarterback Patrick Mahomes leading the way, they will always be Super Bowl contenders.

NFC Favorites to Win Super Bowl LX

After a two-year run of the AFC Champions claiming the Lombardi trophy, the streak finally ended last year. The NFC will look to get back-to-back Super Bowls to extend their lead in the all-time series this year, currently at 30-29.

Here are the NFC favorites for Super Bowl 60.

Philadelphia Eagles (+650)

The reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are the favorite to win it all in their conference and the NFL. The Eagles have a good chance of making it back to the Super Bowl with their star-studded cast, including QB Jalen Hurts, RB Saquon Barkley, WR DeVonta Smith, and more.

Detroit Lions (+1000)

The Lions have had quite the turnaround in the last couple of seasons, but have yet to make it to the Super Bowl. After losing to the Washington Commanders in the 2024 Divisional Round, Jared Goff and Co. are looking to go deeper into the 2025 playoffs.

Washington Commanders (+1800)

The Commanders were one of the most surprising teams to emerge in 2024. OROY Jayden Daniels led the team to their first NFC Championship appearance since 1991. If Daniels can continue his success, Washington has a chance to go all the way in 2025.

Must be 21+. MA Only. Subject to eligibility requirements. Bonus bets are non-withdrawable. In Partnership with MGM Springfield.

Betting on the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is one of the best sporting events year after year. As a result, the type of bets offered for the game by Massachusetts sportsbooks is far beyond your standard NFL game.

Futures Betting on the Super Bowl

One of the most common ways to bet on the Super Bowl is through future bets. A Super Bowl future is a bet on a team to win the Big Game in the future. Odds open as soon as the previous season ends and fluctuate the entire year right up until the Super Bowl.

Catching teams at their best number is the goal with futures betting, whether that means getting them before the season starts, during a slump, or when another team faces a key injury.

Super Bowl Moneylines

Betting on Super Bowl moneyline strictly means betting on which team will win the game. Moneylines are set once the matchup is confirmed and can move until the game kicks off. A negative moneyline indicates the favorite and how much you would have to bet to win $100, while a positive moneyline indicates the underdog and how much you would win if you bet $100. The further from 100 either team is, indicates how big of a favorite or underdog they are.

The 2023 Super Bowl was a great example of that line movement as the Chiefs initially opened as high as a -150 favorite on the moneyline at some sportsbooks but almost immediately became the underdog. The Chiefs were +100 at most places by the time the game started.

Super Bowl Prop Bets

As stated earlier, because the Super Bowl is such a high-profile game, the number of betting options far exceeds that of a regular game. In some cases, these types of prop bets are only available for the Super Bowl.

  • National Anthem: A bet on whether the national anthem will be shorter or longer than the listed time.
  • Coin Toss: A bet on whether the coin toss to determine possession will be heads or tails.
  • Super Bowl MVP: A bet on who will be selected as MVP of the Super Bowl.
  • ing Touchdowns: A bet on whether the selected quarterback will throw more or fewer than the number of listed ing touchdowns.
  • ing Yards: A bet on whether a selected QB will for more or less than his listed total ing yards.
  • Rushing Touchdowns: A bet on whether a selected player will have more or fewer than the listed number of rushing touchdowns.
  • Rushing Yards: A bet on whether a selected player will have more or fewer than the listed number of rushing yards.
  • Gatorade Color: A bet on what color the Gatorade will be that the winning team dumps on their coach.
Massachusetts bettors must be 21+ and present to place wagers in the state.

Super Bowl Point Spreads

Point spreads are similar to moneylines that we previously discussed. However, instead of only betting on a team to win, you are now betting on if a team will win by at least the point spread listed.

For example, if a team is listed as a 3-point favorite, they have to win by at least 4 points to cover the point spread. If a team is listed as a 3-point underdog, they either need to win outright or lose by less than 3 points. If a 3-point favorite wins by exactly 3 points, bets on the favorite and underdog are considered a push and voided to return the original risk amount.

Super Bowl Totals or Over/Unders

Betting on the total for the Super Bowl is betting whether the total points scored in the game by both teams will be over or under the listed total.

For example, 2022's Super Bowl total closed at 51.5, and the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35, combining for 73 total points. Therefore, an over 51.5 bet on the Super Bowl would have resulted in a winner.

Super Bowl Parlays

Parlays on the Super Bowl combine the previous style of bets we just listed, including, but not limited to, moneylines, spreads, totals, and props. Some types of bets cannot be combined, and to win a parlay, all selected bets must win. For the Super Bowl, sportsbooks also offer pre-packaged parlays.

An example from Super Bowl 57 would be a 3-leg parlay including Chiefs moneyline, over 51.5, coin toss: tails. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl, the total went over 51.5, and the result of the coin flip was tails; therefore, this parlay would be resulted a winner.

Live Betting on the Super Bowl

Live betting on the Super Bowl can be any of the previous bet types discussed. The differentiating factor in live betting is that you bet during the game, with the lines and odds fluctuating consistently.

An example would be if you live bet the Chiefs at +250 on the moneyline during Super Bowl 57 when they were down 14-24. This would have resulted in a winner, as the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
