Shooting Guard: Jrue Holiday
The two-time NBA All-Star suffered an injury against the Magic and only played two games. Despite that, he still averaged 10 points while shooting 46.7 percent. Holiday is back and ready to play against the Knicks. Over his career, Holiday has averaged 16.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists in postseason history, and while he's not a favorite to win the NBA Finals MVP.

Small Forward: Jaylen Brown
Jaylen Brown, the 2024 NBA Finals MVP, is an integral member of the Celtics starting lineup. Declaring for the 2016 NBA Draft after just one of college basketball with the California Golden Bears, Brown has notched three NBA All-Star honors and a 2024 NBA Championship. Now, Brown looks to add another title to his resume, averaging 23 points per game in the playoffs. And he will need to do everything he can to keep the Celtics alive with Tatum out for an extended period.

Power Forward: Jayson Tatum
The undisputed leader of the Celtics, Jayson Tatum, is a five-time NBA All-Star and four-time All-NBA Selection. He led the Celtics to a league-best 64 wins and an NBA Championship in the 2023-2024 season while also helping the US win an Olympic Gold Medal in 2024. Tatum boasts a career average of 23.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game and holds the record for most points scored in an NBA All-Star Game at 55.
Tatum is out for the season after rupturing his ACL. Al Horford takes his place in the lineup.

Center: Kristaps Porzingis
The 7-foot, 2-inch center from Latvia was one of the main catalysts in the NBA Finals and continues to be a key factor down low for the Celtics. While he has missed several games with injuries, he has shown how good he can be when he is on the court, ranking third in the team in points per game and second in rebounds. Porzingis has been dealing with an illness, which has limited his playing time against the New York Knicks. With Tatum's injury, Porzingis now shifts back to the starting center spot.
